Students from the IBREA Discussed the significance of the new 2030 Agenda

13 January 2016 - New York , USA | South-South News – Students from the Annual Training Programme, organized at the United Nations Headquarters by the Global Cyber University and the International Brain Education Association (IBREA), discussed the UN’s 70th year and the significance of the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development this afternoon.

Joined by the president of the South-South News, H.E. Ambassador Francis Lorenzo, he addressed youth participants from Japan, Korea and the United States at the New York Headquarters.

During the session, it was highlighted the willingness of youth people to involve in the global affairs with a view to make a positive contribution for development, as well as a way to make sure that the voice of youth around the world can be heard at the United Nations Headquarters.

The Global Cyber University focuses on fostering humanitarian service and to further create opportunities with global education.

“Youth are eager to change the world and to contribute to peace through leadership,” said Ms. Lee Ul-Soon, Director of the Global Cyber University.

The group expressed appreciation to South-South News for the opportunity to gain concrete understanding and exchange ideas related to each Sustainable Goal, with particular interest in Goal 17 – international partnership for the efficiency of the goals.

The particularly active role that role that international community expects from youth involvement, was also underscored by the delegates and concrete examples suggested on successfully implementing the agenda everywhere.
