Combatting Drought in Kenya

Up to three million Kenyans are struggling to find enough to eat, as drought grips the nation. Insufficient rain over the past two years has led to crop failure and decimated livestock in some parts of the country. Climate change is causing prolonged droughts so farmers are shifting from growing maize - Kenya's staple food – to crops that need less water.
