General Assembly Considers Peacekeeping Operations (identifer:729/729059)

The General Assembly met to consider the report of its Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) on the whole question of peacekeeping operations in all their aspects. The Assembly also took up reform of the Security Council. In addition, it adopted three resolutions on: the promotion of durable peace and sustainable development in Africa; cooperation between the United Nations and the Pacific Islands Forum; and cooperation between the United Nations and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
